Tendering for medical devicesIn this position statement, Canada’s Medical Device Technology Companies (MEDEC) explains the core principles for a competitive national tendering process.

 

 

 

 

The process should be transparent and safeguards to ensure access for patients and quality of healthcare must be put in place. Furthermore, MEDEC suggests that cost-based tendering methods are not appropriate for medical devices.
