Our team is organising a TEDx event on the Design of health innovation. We are seeking contributions from passionate people, eager to share their enthusiasm and the potential of their innovations and ideas related to technologies and tools, healthcare processes and interventions and to various environments such as healthcare institutions, home, urban and work environments.
What is a TEDx event?
TEDx was created in the spirit of TED’s mission, ideas worth spreading (http://www.ted.com/pages/view/id/5). The programme gives communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate exchanges through TED-like experiences locally. At TEDx events, unique talks given by live speakers combine with TEDTalks videos (http://www.ted.com/talks) to foster learning, inspiration and wonder — and to provoke conversations that matter. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx programme, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
Why take part in TEDxMontreal Quartier Latin?
To reflect on the implications and future of health innovations design (technologies, physical spaces and healthcare processes) as well as on its impact on users (professionals and patients) and healthcare systems.
To share a refreshing intellectual space, hear about and exchange new ideas and powerful point of views.
To get the opportunity to share your clever solutions with a wider audience thanks to videotaping. All the talks will be posted on TEDxTalks YouTube Channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/TEDxTalks) after the event. Since 2009, more than 600 000 people have watched the conferences on this site.
The event will welcome around 100 participants from all backgrounds but mostly interested in health innovations including for example, managers, policy makers, clinicians, nurses, patient association representatives, journalists, engineers, designers, entrepreneurs, researchers and students in the domain of health services and policy, design, engineering, architecture and social sciences.
