A conceptual neighborhood approach: A presentation by Kate Frohlich

K. Frohlich on the neighborhood approach and social inequalities in healthIn this presentation, Kate Frohlich from the University of Montreal presents a theoretical framework to help understand how social inequalities in health are produced by neighbourhoods. Before exposing her argument, she presents two maps of Montreal to show how life expectancy at birth in Montreal can be correlated to poverty level and explains how there is a lack of theoretical framework concerning the mechanisms through which neighbourhoods influence health inequalities.
